September 11, 2010: A ceremony was held to mark the ninth anniversary of the attacks on the
United States nine years ago and to rededicate ourselves to the building of the Memorial Park for Brooke County's
veterans. U.S. Representative Allan Mollohan was there to assure the group that funds have been requested and set aside
in legislation that is scheduled for a vote in the U.S. Senate. He delivered a speech that reflected on the debt that we all owe
to the service men and women who gave their lives to protect our principles and our country.
The 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing band was on hand to provide music for the event. Jack Ernest, a former Marine, who served in the Vietman War served as master of ceremonies.
